Product Details:
CowParade is the largest and most successful public art event in the world. Since 1998, CowParade events have been staged in over 50 cities worldwide including Zurich (1998, first event), New York City (2000), London (2002) and Tokyo (2003).
Over 5,000 artists worldwide have participated in CowParade - professional and amateur, famous and emerging, young and old.
The dogwood is North Carolina’s state flower. Artist Molly Robert's hope was that when children saw her cow they would want to touch and hug the huge white flowers with green leaves and blue background that cover the cow. The life-size cow sold at auction for $6,000 benefitting the NC Children's Hospital.
The artist is a native of Graham, N.C., but has lived in Japan, Washington state, and California, where she's sold her art at various shows and has been an art teacher.
